Piece of the moon

A beautiful night
It could have been
Though electrocuted it was
By the absence of the moon
As the atmosphere tensed
Lacking the essence of life

For stolen was the igniting piece
The pleasure of the heart
The epicenter of light
Shattered

Being around you was victory
For nobody could stop me
Cause I had you
Now left insane
In pursuit of your heart

Charged with negligence
I toyed with my heart
For robbed was a piece
While I least expected it
Only reporting within seas of sorrows
Trying to justify my pain
For unquantifiable it was

When The Music Stopped

I had it on repeat
Listening
Hoping the scars
Imprinted on my heart
Would heal

For she was gone
And with her
My heart
She had stolen

Leaving potholes
I tried to fill
With the tunes
We swung too

Virtuous Woman

She was the real deal
Untanned by the falsehood of the city
For in her, a really woman she was
As her beauty was embraced by her nature
A rare breed

For she was the woman the bible said to be a good thing
As I asked for her hand
Which I hoped to hold forever
For her virtue had me locked
As I had to have her for eternity

If Only I Knew

I was just a vintage
A relic in the garage
Rusting my way out of life
As my use was absolute
Though wealth is what I used to present
A prestige to have

I was once a goddess
Worshipped by many for my beauty
As vultures were always after me
Gifts on their hands
So I thought I was winning
Though my blood they drained me dry

All I knew was to sell myself
That they used me until I was nothing
Destroying the beautiful garden
That once bloomed with glory
Now a barren land with no beauty is what they left
Taking with them the jewel once held

I bolted my life into despair
For cheap thrills is what I saw with my naked eyes
As mountains ahead were scary for me to climb
Not knowing my soul to torment is what I chased
Giving away my precious self to vampires
Who killed me softly while awarding vanity

I wish I knew, my ticket was a fading ticket
Maybe I would have treasured it better
Kept it to my chest
And not for others to indulge
Maybe I wouldn't have become rusty
I wish someone would have told me beauty was just....

My Truth

All I ever wanted was to smith some letters into words
To tell my story without encroaching into others
To highlight my predicaments - my wars
So I could inspire a generation
Building tomorrow together as one
Embracing change to our situation
For this is my truth
For which I wish no one to deter me from

Night Clubs On Wheels

We stood firm together
Hoping nothing to tear us apart
For we soldiered on to hells gates
As we sought to free ourselves
For hostage was the chains of slavery
As the courage we hosted was deemed to match to each

Towards the mouth of the furnace
In the fierceness of the battle
The craven choose to run away
Abandoning freedom
Throwing some discouragement

For their desires were see us incarnate
Dancing to poverty
As if it's a night club on wheels
Though rolling down hill to destruction

Night Stand Love

It was a game of hide and seek
Hiding for my innocence
As I seek experience
In unusual places
For my heart was her's tonight
And on the morrow somebody else

It wasn't about love
But thrusting of innocence into dark
Stealing the precious jewel
She holds for my treasure chest
As on the morrow I will be bragging
Looking for another victim to pursue
As her sweet cries fades away
And intoxicating love dissolves
In acid of victory

For wasted she will be
A relic in my closet
As claim to have won her heart
Destroyed her pride
For words uttered
Not to mean anything
But to murder the innocence
Inside her
For she was to be
Part of my trophy collection

For all I knew was night stand love
Never lasting
But pleasure for one night
Though condemning my soul
To the darkness of the world
For heart breaks is all I ever knew
And victims is all I had

Dreams of tomorrow

Tomorrow was what we hold
Hoping for change to come
In glad tidings
Setting the preset to prosperity
Denning the corrupt from indulging

For all this was just reverie
For infested was the system
Distorting the dreams of the future
As elusive were the prospects
For tomorrow wasn't ours

For poverty were all we swallow
Dreams were all we afford
As our sweat build empires of the elite
Destroying the legacy of the just
To wallow in sorrow
